About The Position

As a Intellectual Property Analyst - Docketing, you will play a key part in supporting the company’s global intellectual property portfolio by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant patent and trademark docketing activities. You will manage critical communications, maintain essential IP records, and oversee systems that support operational integrity. Working closely with Legal and cross‑functional teams, you will help uphold high standards of data accuracy, process efficiency, and procedural consistency. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail‑driven environment and enjoys contributing to the protection and stewardship of valuable IP assets.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program with 1 or more years of experience in intellectual property, or in lieu of degree, 6 or more years of experience in intellectual property.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in patent and trademark matters, including both foreign and domestic filing practices, with proficiency in industry‑standard docketing software.
  • Proficiency in docketing procedures and IP database tools (e.g., Anaqua).
  • Experience working in a law firm or corporate law department.
  • Ability to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with Legal teams.
  • Highly motivated, organized, detail‑oriented, and efficient.
  • Skilled at multitasking and collaborating both independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage U.S. and foreign patent and trademark correspondence and communications, open new trademark matters, and proof routine docketing work completed by others.
  • Maintain the reference library within the Intellectual Property (IP) Management System.
  • Oversee the Anaqua Services questions portal, update patent and trademark records, and perform data‑integrity checks.
  • Review U.S. and foreign patent docketing reports, respond to inquiries, provide non‑patent literature, and attend biweekly SOP review calls.
  • Docket patent communications that fall outside the scope of Anaqua docketing and timely abandon patent matters following annuity committee decisions.
  • Assist with administrative projects related to patent records, trademark records, records management, and other IP docketing tasks as needed.
