About The Position

Capitalize is seeking an Integration and Automation focused Software Engineer to join our growing company. As a key member of a small, fast-paced team, your work will be instrumental in our efforts to help Americans better save for retirement. Your key responsibilities include improving our core transfer technology by designing and implementing solutions to help us better facilitate transactions for our customers and partners by integrating effectively with financial institutions and other stakeholders. You will also build scalable architecture by engineering and optimizing resilient solutions to handle increasing user volumes and ensure seamless performance during peak usage times. Additionally, you will engage in cloud-native development, working within modern cloud-native architecture (mostly AWS) to support high availability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role with exposure to designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native applications.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with automation tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and an appreciation for taking on new challenges.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages (we use Node / Typescript and Java).
  • Experience working on products with rapid feature development, including fast iterations and tight feedback loops during QA processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot highly distributed systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • AWS security best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch.
  • Previous exposure to large-scale systems design, taking a project all the way from business logic to full production.
  • DevOps / IaC.
