About The Position

The Role: Join us as a Test & Integration Engineer and become a key player in scaling our operations and delivering the means to sustainable farming! In this dynamic role, you'll develop and maintain cutting-edge testing infrastructure while collaborating with top-tier engineering teams to create innovative tools for integration and operations scaling. You will be a key contributor to and driver of the development of new hardware system architectures for both the current and future generations of Aigen's vertically integrated custom robotics platform.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in hardware engineering and software development
  • Experience developing and conducting tests on complex systems including hardware and software
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated competence in documentation and results delivery
  • Enthusiastic about travel and working in field conditions as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with agriculture and agricultural equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define and conduct lab and field tests, meticulously documenting results and collaborating with other engineers to resolve issues detected in testing.
  • Innovate, deliver, and maintain state-of-the-art tools to enhance test and field operations.
  • Analyze test data, clearly communicate results, and deliver actionable insights to our engineering teams.
  • Develop test metrics and success criteria.
  • Spearhead the development and maintenance of test fields, ensuring robust testing resources.
  • Manage successive plantings to provide comprehensive test coverage across various crop maturity stages, strategically transitioning between test sites throughout the year to maintain uninterrupted testing.
  • Tackle cross-disciplinary challenges, enabling seamless scaling of test and integration efforts.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate cutting-edge tools and technologies into our operations.
  • Engage in field test rotations and provide hands-on support during the growing season.
