General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating and performing a wide variety of complex structural, composite, and/or mechanical operations to ensure appropriate aircraft structural, avionics, and electrical systems are installed, tested and operational. The position coordinates and/or performs complex system modifications due to a technical updates and/or a customer request, which require disassembly, modification, reassembly, and testing of mechanical and/or electrical system. This position may also perform complex structural, composite, avionic, and electrical repairs. Following technical documentation, monitors, tests and verifies quality of work, and complete required documentation and troubleshoot and resolves issues. Recommends technical procedures and design changes or alterations to aircraft, engines, systems, components and field or shop equipment. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff and may be assigned as department liaison and/or to customer contact as required.
