About the position

Launched in 2013, Canva is a free online visual communications and collaboration platform with a mission to empower everyone in the world to design. Featuring a simple drag-and-drop user interface and a vast range of templates ranging from presentations, documents, websites, social media graphics, posters, apparel to videos, plus a huge library of fonts, stock photography, illustrations, video footage, and audio clips, anyone can take an idea and create something beautiful. We have an active and growing community of developers and app partners in our Ecosystem. We are expanding the Solutions Engineering team to help us grow and scale how we foster and support our partners, customers and developer community worldwide. As a Solution Engineer, you will support a growing community of large teams, enterprises, and hundreds of developers building apps and integrations with the Canva Visual Design Platform. The Solution Engineers are part of the Partnerships and Developer Success team within the Canva Ecosystem Group and work closely with Engineering, Product, Partnerships, Account Executives and Customer Success, to name a few. As a team member, you will help us establish Canva as the World's most extensible platform as we grow and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly become an authority in Canva's Apps SDK and Connect API
  • Support Developers (Enterprises, Systems Integrations, IT stakeholders, and more) in designing solutions
  • Showcase powerful presentations and demos, help develop demo agendas and prepare software demo presentations for Developers
  • Work closely with the Ecosystem product teams to understand the product's inner workings and overall roadmap
  • Communicate customer technical capability needs to product and engineering teams and API needs to the Ecosystem product and engineering teams
  • Nurture engagement in our Developers' community and raise awareness of their pain points, feedback, and feature requests.

Requirements

  • Firmly grounded in computer science and engineering fundamentals with experience developing web applications
  • Experience developing, integrating into APIs, and building web solutions
  • 3+ years experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting or equivalent experience
  • Fantastic technical troubleshooting skills in an Enterprise SaaS-based environment
  • Experience with custom extension/integration development and different web platforms and app marketplaces
  • A customer-focused attitude and demeanour
  • An effective communicator with a strong voice when writing.
