About The Position

This position will be located in our East Fishkill, NY facility. Integration engineering management leading front-end fab and post-fab integration engineers and technicians. Responsible for inline product controls and quality, response to signals, and continuous improvement of yield, quality, and cost. Drives defect reduction and yield improvement for power trench and IGBT as well as CMOS technologies. Partners with yield/device, defect inspection, test/probe, quality, production, quality, module unit process, and technology development teams.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State and Applied Physics.
  • 10 years of semiconductor unit process, integration, and fab engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • MS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State and Applied Physics.
  • 4-6 years in semiconductor integration and yield engineering.
  • Experience in problem solving in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work well within a global matrixed team or environment with minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies.
  • Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Familiar with 5S, 8D, 6-sigma, SPC, DOE, FMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage department of front-end fab and post-fab integration engineers and technicians.
  • Continuously improve yield, quality, and cost.
  • Work closely with defect inspection, production, yield & device engineering, module unit process, wafer probe, quality, and technology development teams.
  • Partner with yield/device, defect inspection, and unit process teams to diagnose root cause of technical problems and drive controls, quality, and yield improvements.
  • Immediate response to signals to prevent quality excursions.
  • Partner with production team to balance yield improvement with production serviceability commitments.
  • Drive cost reduction through yield enhancement and process simplification.
  • Work with technology development teams to ensure manufacturing readiness of new technologies and products.
  • Support new product development and transfers including ownership of reliability qualifications.
  • Partner with assembly and test operations to ensure seamless end-to-end manufacturing.
  • Maintain current FMEAs and control plans for all production technologies to reduce mean-time-to-detect.
  • Ensure process capability and stability through CpK monitoring and improvement.
  • Improve change control processes to ensure first-time right process modifications.
  • Understand device operation and how it is affected by fab processing.
  • Use structured problem solving, failure analysis, process lot history and data mining to identify, diagnose, and implement corrective actions to complex technical issues.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
