About The Position

We are building a next-generation engineering and operations ecosystem where AI is a co-worker — helping teams design, build, test, and run large-scale systems. This role is for a new college graduate or an early career talent who can turn ambiguous problems into practical AI-driven solutions and ship them into real workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Data Science, or any quantitative discipline and have exposure towards:
  • Programming fundamentals: Strong Python + SQL + basic testing
  • ML fundamentals (Regression, Classification, Time-series, Transformers)
  • Scikit-learn or TensorFlow experience
  • MLOps concepts: experiment tracking, model versioning, reproducibility, CI/CD for ML, model monitoring
  • LLMOps concepts: prompt/version management, offline/online evaluation, grounding vs hallucination basics
  • AgentOps concepts: tool-based agents, orchestration vs autonomy, state management, auditability
  • Fine-tuning concepts: when to fine-tune vs RAG, LoRA/PEFT basics, overfitting/forgetting risks

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Knowledge of RAG Architectures
  • Basic Knowledge of Agentic Reasoning: Designing ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, Tree-of-Thoughts, and multi-agent workflows
  • Familiar with ML Evaluation concept: LangSmith or DeepEval
  • Agent frameworks: LangGraph / LangChain / LlamaIndex / CrewAI / AutoGen, tool-calling patterns and APIs
  • Agent reliability: prompt injection awareness, guardrails, human-in-the-loop
  • Vector search: any kind of VectorDB
  • Docker, CI/CD basics; cloud basics; Kubernetes exposure
  • Database: SQL (like Postgres with pgvector) or NoSQL (like Opensearch)
  • Built something out of curiosity (tool, script, bot, automation)
  • Participated in hackathons or competitions
  • Maintains GitHub projects
  • Writes technical blogs
  • Developed a personal "AI Assistant" or "Automated Researcher" that actually does something (e.g., "An agent that monitors GitHub and suggests PR fixes").
  • Or can demonstrated ability to handle System Prompts and manage "State" in non-deterministic environments.

Responsibilities

  • AI-assisted software development and testing automation
  • AI agents for operational workflows (triage, remediation, knowledge lookup)
  • Observability, incident analysis, and RCA acceleration
  • Workflow optimization using RAG + tool-using agents
  • Building evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails for AI systems
  • Improving documentation and operational runbooks using AI
  • You should demonstrate:
  • Structured problem solving and independent execution in ambiguous situations
  • Rapidly acquires new knowledge through self-learning and experimentation
  • Exhibits intellectual curiosity and thoughtful questioning of assumptions
  • Communicates clearly, articulating reasoning and simplifying complex ideas

Benefits

  • Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs.
  • Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
  • The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay.
  • When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions of 4%.
  • Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits.
  • Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
