Responsibilities In this position you will design, develop, implement, and configure cloud system administration environments and tools. Implement security controls and security features to support and address cybersecurity challenges on PaaS and IaaS environments. Apply consulting and technical expertise and full industry knowledge, on VA cloud solution tailoring. Develop or support innovative solutions to complex problems. Define, communicate, and implement cloud architecture and administration processes for VA platforms. Apply technical expertise and industry knowledge to programs and projects. Work with minimal supervision within established procedures and practices and serve as informal lead or mentor to junior team members. Standard support hours are between 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST with tiered coverage, including occasional rotating on-call during weekends, holidays, or off-hours. Must Have Experience: 5 years’ experience configuring cloud administrative environments and tools. Experience defining secure-based cloud architecture while adhering to development methodologies, engineering, and cloud standards. Experience in providing detailed guidance to engineering team members creating administrative processes and procedures. Experience in performing operational and day-to-day administrative support functions including troubleshooting of issues and support of change and problem management processes. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivilent 13 years’ professional experience in lieu of Bachelor’s.
