About The Position

Job Summary: The Integration Engineer - Submarine Combat Systems, will be responsible for integration of software components into the CIS Linux-based Common Computing Environment (CCE). The candidate will also be responsible for improving the software build process along with setup and configuration of hardware/software test environments. Essential Capabilities: Experience integrating containerized software components in a distributed computing environment. Knowledge of containerized environments and Kubernetes container orchestration. Skilled in development of scripts to automate installation, test, and monitoring of software components. Ability to develop automated build processes including continuous quality and cyber analysis. Experience in DevSecOps and Agile methodologies. Configuration setup of servers and network switches. Advanced troubleshooting techniques for isolation of software and hardware problems.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience integrating containerized software components in a distributed computing environment.
  • Knowledge of containerized environments and Kubernetes container orchestration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Docker and/or Podman containers.
  • Experience with RKE2 Kubernetes distribution.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems versions 8-10.
  • Experience with C/C++ or other high order language.
  • Proficient in Python and/or Bash scripting.
  • Red Hat System Administrator/Engineer certification.
  • Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems
  • Comfortable providing technical leadership
