The Integration Center Technician role at Apple involves installing, servicing, and maintaining IT infrastructure in a dynamic 24/7 environment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, security, and compliance while ensuring high availability of the infrastructure. Technicians will work closely with various internal teams and external suppliers, focusing on continuous learning and skill development.

  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data center activities.
  • Establish and enhance strong working relationships with various internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Understand the overall ticket management process.
  • Perform power cycles, swap out failed components, handle storage media, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform cable installations, hardware rack/stack installations, testing, and troubleshooting using standard data center processes.
  • Physically assist in moving and racking equipment.
  • Support deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure including servers and NetDevices.
  • Support parts/component replacement and physical hardware troubleshooting.
  • Assist the data center Inventory and Asset Management Team with shipping/receiving and inventory management to support high work volumes.
  • Experience in roles that include hands-on technical support, help desk, logistics, or technical training in computer engineering or a related IT field.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and lift as required, on a continuous basis, with items that can weigh up to 75 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work non-business hours (shifts) that may include weekends and/or holidays.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, which may include international as well as domestic locations.
  • 1+ years of data center experience with a focus on server deployments and break fix.
  • Experience operating macOS, Windows, and Linux.
  • Experience running diagnostics and firmware updates to resolve hardware/software issues.
  • Experience installing in-cabinet, uplink, and structured cabling solutions.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative with minimal direction.
  • Superb communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
