As an Integration & Automation Engineer at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, you will play a crucial role in the Research and Development team, focusing on enhancing integration and automation features in power grid products.   • Maintain advanced technical knowledge and skills to contribute to the development and enhancement of integration and automation features in SEL products.
  • Define, develop and analyze product specifications, functional tests, and system validation processes.
  • Diagnose customer reported problems with integration and communication features and document issues for developers.
  • Provide technical and market analysis to evaluate proposed products or enhancements.
  • Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians.
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with serial, Ethernet, and multiple communication protocols in an electrical power system environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in setup and configuration of a broad range of network devices and interfaces.
  • 2+ years of experience at an electric utility, industrial plant, or engineering firm.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • 2+ years of experience in electric power SCADA or EMS practices.
  • Experience contributing to product development teams.
