BAE Systems is looking for Systems Engineering Leads to work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to design, integrate, debug, and test next generation EW systems. Focused on delivering innovative Electronic Warfare (EW) solutions, individual technical contributions on a related range of Programs will include system development, requirements development, integration & test, and test planning and execution in a field deployment environment.

  • Leading a medium or large team of Systems Engineers on EW related programs
  • Managing all system engineering content and work products
  • Understanding and implementing the product development process
  • Schedule and cost account responsibilities for systems team
  • Execution of systems planning and requirements development
  • Creation and review of systems requirements to include, software, component, subsystem, and operational concepts
  • Allocation of requirements to engineering disciplines
  • Creating system test plans, procedures and reports
  • Leading product design, development, integration, and verification
  • Will have outside contact with customers, other contractors and government officials
  • Manage and participate in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations internally and with customers
  • Monitor and report metrics such as System Technical Performance Measures
  • Supports proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimating, and presentation activities
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science (or equivalent experience in a relevant field)
  • 12+ Years with BS, 10+ Years with MS, or 8+ Years with PhD
  • Possess an Active US Government security clearance (with ability to possess TS)
  • Leadership skills and experience directing and mentoring engineers on complex programs
  • Expert in effectively documenting, communicating, leading and working with a team on designs, results, reports, and presentations
  • Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test)
  • Experience developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams
  • EVMS certification and CAM experienced required
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline and 11 years of experience or Ph.D. with 9 years of experience
  • Project/Program team member responsible for workflow, which is dynamic in nature
  • Experience with EW and/or Radar and Missile Systems
  • Experience with technical performance measurements and cost account management
  • Model based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw
  • Familiarity or experience with Agile Systems Engineering
  • Active United States security clearance, Top Secret, SCI Eligible
