Right now, our Combat Mission Systems team in Sterling Heights is hiring Integration and Test Lab Engineers excited about designing and maintaining laboratory integration and test environments. We have openings for engineers with experience and a passion for working in an advanced technology software integration and testing lab. The Integration and Test Lab Engineer will design and maintain laboratory integration and test environments encompassing electronic hardware components and software at vehicle component, sub-system, and platform levels. The ideal candidate will have strong mechatronic integration skills with experience maintaining hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems and emulation tools. We are seeking strong communicators who can work successfully on-site and with remote teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience
  • Familiarity with computer networking principles (VLANs / Switch configuration)
  • Familiarity with multiple communication protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, MIL STD 1553
  • Experience with one or more programming / scripting languages such as Python and BASH
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of running simulation models using tools such as Matlab, Simulink or Labview
  • Experience troubleshooting test bed and network issues (serial, ethernet, hardware, software)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C, C++, and C#
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as CANanalyzer or Wireshark
  • Experience with National Instruments Teststand, Veristand, and PXI hardware
  • Knowledge of Windows event log
  • Experience with system level use case tests
  • Knowledge of how models and hardware work together
  • Server administration experience such as active directory, DNS, DHCP, user account maintenance.
  • Cloud experience (VC3)

Responsibilities

  • Support test bench setup and administration (VMWare, Windows/Linux OS installation and upgrades/updates, configuration and patching)
  • Troubleshoot networking, hardware and cabling issues, switches and VLAN configuration, routing tables and firewalls
  • Install, configure and maintain lab hardware and software
  • Maintain 25-30 software and hardware in the loop (HIL) test benches
  • Use modeling and simulation tools such as Matlab, Simulink and Labview
  • Use automated testing tools such as National Instruments Teststand, Veristand and PXI
  • Write scripts in Python and Bash
