Integrated Test - Software Tools Intern
About The Position
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise. This internship is a part of a 10-week full-time summer internship program opportunity. This role will be based at Archer’s headquarters in San Jose, California and relocation or housing will not be provided. Archer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join Archer. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience within the Integration team.
Requirements
- Going into the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year in college career
- Currently enrolled in a ComputerEngineering or Electrical Engineering program (or other engineering with significant programming experience)
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or similar languages
- Familiarity with version control tools
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers
- Strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills
- Passion for aviation, testing and automation
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing automated test scripts for aircraft systems.
- Debug, test, and improve existing automation and other lab tools.
- Integrate software tools with lab hardware (simulation platforms, data acquisition systems.
- Support automation of data collection, processing, and visualization from lab experiments.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand testing requirements and lab workflows
