About The Position

Position at Sumitomo Wiring Systems (U.S.A.), Inc. CAREER OPPORTUNITY SALARIED POSITION POSITION TITLE: Integrated Supply Chain Planne r SHIFT : 1st SECTION OR DEPARTMENT : SEWS Electronics Division REPORTS TO : Material Control Manager LOCATION : Edmonton , KY BASIC POSITION DUTIES: Material Planning & Inventory Control - Plan and order materials to support production schedules (JIT environment) - Maintain optimal inventory levels aligned with DOH targets - Identify and resolve shortages to prevent line downtime - Utilize shortage, expedite, and past due reports Purchasing - Generate and manage purchase orders using MRP/ERP systems - Track and reduce premium freight costs Supplier Management - Monitor supplier performance (OTD) - Support supplier development and corrective actions (8D) - Communicate forecasts and delivery schedules - Maintain strong supplier relationships Automotive Quality & Compliance - Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements - Support APQP and PPAP processes - Maintain documentation aligned with quality standards - Ensure traceability and change management compliance Continuous Improvement - Identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities - Support lean and continuous improvement initiatives - Participate in cross-functional projects

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 1-3 years progressive material control experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication written and verbal
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets and pivot tables) and Microsoft Word

  • 2–4-year Degree Preferred

Responsibilities
