Integrated Pest Management Supervisor Our Integrated Pest Management Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our IPM team to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in cultivation. Additionally, the IPM Supervisor will ensure that our policies and procedures are fully compliant with state medical cannabis regulations. Your role in caring for our company: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Requirements

  • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
  • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
  • We ask that you have a minimum of six (6) months of cannabis greenhouse experience.
  • Basic computer skills are needed.
  • Willing and able to work in 85+ degree temperatures with up to 80% humidity levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and team environment.
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Ability to maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers.
  • Strong work ethics – be accountable and proactive.
  • Ability to maintain strong attention to detail throughout entire shift.
  • We ask that you do not have allergies to plant materials or nitrile gloves; job requires daily exposure to cannabis plants and nitrile gloves.
  • Ability to follow specific protocols and strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • On-site 5 days a week.

  • This role will ask that you sit, walk, bend, scooping, twisting, and reach throughout your entire shift.
  • There may be days where you stand the entire day, sit the entire day, etc. Please be flexible as needs will change.
  • This role is similar to an assembly line in that it will be completing repetitive tasks throughout the day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 80lbs assisted .
  • As this is a cannabis growing facility, there will be strong odors, bright lights, and various noises throughout the workday.
  • Employees are asked to wear scrubs, masks, gloves, and hairnets while working with the plants.

Responsibilities

  • Daily supervision of IPM Associates.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed accurately and correctly to ensure MCA, EPA, MDA, and MOSH compliance.
  • Responsible for weekly scheduling/task management of IPM Team.
  • Efficiently and effectively input and analyze data for updates/changes to routine.
  • Develop a comprehensive IPM plan including; bio controls, beneficial insects, natural predators, trapping, vacuuming, and spraying.
  • Management coordination on biological programs and implementation.
  • Monitor efficiency of control measures used.
  • Monitor plant growth and behavior response to feeding elements.
  • Verification and documentation of pest and disease infestation trends.
  • Follow up on field treatments for efficacy.
  • Generate updated field / block maps.
  • Communicate field availability and quality issues to production / management team on a daily basis.
  • Facilitate trials on new commercial products prior to applying to entire crop.
  • Maintain up-to-date records.
  • Ensure cleanliness, adherence to all safety policies and procedures and organization within the greenhouse.
  • Work successfully alongside department team members.
  • Maintain proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Prepare and conduct monthly reviews for team members.
  • All other duties as necessary.
