This position reports to Engineering Mgr I. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite. This role is contributing to the Motion Business.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering or related field in the United States.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.

Responsibilities

• Support IMD lab activities by continuing build-out of lab setups and demonstrators.
• Integrate customer fan applications to broaden application test capabilities.
• Support customer issue resolution and application questions to enable new business development.
• Strengthen product documentation with improved manuals, drawings, and user guides.
• Contribute to new product development through validation test and documentation activities.
• Coordinate with lab leadership and personnel as well as product line leaders in integrated motor drive product group.
• Participate in mentoring and networking opportunities.
• Engage in personal and professional development programming offered to all interns.
