About The Position

We are recruiting for the following position: Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization Full-time Integrated Mental Health Therapist position available at ourPuyallup Behavioral Health Clinic. The IMHT functions as a coremember of the Clinical Care Team. The IMHT works within a medicalsetting to provide diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatricservices, and case management, in coordination with other teams orparties involved in treatment.The IMHT or Licensed Therapist will have an understanding of chronicconditions that can include substance use disorders and behavioralhealth concerns that contribute to a patient's inability toadequately address their medical needs, and an understanding ofchronic medical conditions that can, in turn, lead to depression andother mental health concerns. The IMHT or Licensed Therapist educatesstaff on the process for mental health service referrals and on psychoeducational topics (suicide risk assessment, behavior modification,etc.) as directed by BH protocols. The IMHT or Licensed Therapistmaintains documentation of mental health services, and follows throughin patient charts with strong emphasis on communication with the careteam located in the medical clinic.In addition, the IMHT or Licensed Therapist must meet the criteria ofa Mental Health Professional (MHP). Must also hold and maintain anactive WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor License (may be pendingfor up to 60 days if applied for within 7 days of being offeredemployment) or mental health Associate License (includes Marriage andFamily Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, and Clinical SocialWorker). Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish, Korean, Swahili, orHindi are preferred. Please note that the wages for this position depends on what level theapplicant is hired. Below you will find the qualifications for theIntegrated MH Therapist II, III or Licensed position.INTEGRATED MH THERAPIST IIThe IMHT II provides brief, strength based, and solution-focusedservices to adults, children, and families, and will assist withemotional and behavioral stabilization, including but not limited tosuicide prevention, de-escalation of patients and/or referral forcrisis services when needed. The IMHT II also providesmotivational-based wellness coaching, works with patients to createself-management goals, and helps patients increase their level ofmotivation to meet goals.

Requirements

  • Must meet the criteria of a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
  • Must hold and maintain anactive WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor License (may be pendingfor up to 60 days if applied for within 7 days of being offeredemployment) or mental health Associate License (includes Marriage andFamily Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, and Clinical SocialWorker).
  • Must hold a Master's degree from an accredited college oruniversity in psychology, counseling, or social work, which includescourse-work in psychological diagnostics
  • Must have one to three (1-3) years of experience in the field.Experience could be obtained before or after completion of aMaster's degree.
