About The Position

San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is an international, nonprofit conservation organization with two front doors: the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We integrate wildlife health and care, science, and education to develop sustainable conservation solutions. HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION The Coordinator position support the Sr. Manager, Integrated Marketing in executing integrated efforts supporting SDZWA's mission of conservation while driving visitation to the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park. This position will help plan and execute marketing efforts to align the strategy and tactical execution across functional areas to ensure a cohesive marketing plan that optimizes success for all initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year progressive, relevant consumer-facing marketing including theme park/destination experience preferred.
  • Specific experience within an integrated marketing structure preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint required.
  • In Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or other related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large volumes of complex work effectively and efficiently.
  • Detailed orientated, strong organizations skills.
  • High energy and strong work ethic.
  • Solid understanding of consumer and brand research.

Nice To Haves

  • A self-starter with impeccable organizational and project management skills and a desire to grow their marketing expertise in a mission driven organization.
  • This role will interact with nearly every other marketing and cross-functional department so proactive communication skills a must.
  • Internship or early career experience at an advertising agency, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholder groups or non-profit ideal but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sr. Manager in developing and executing effective communication strategies (across all major consumer touch points) Advertising, CRM, Media, Social, Promotions, Partnerships, PR, etc. via a channel planning process that ensures a cohesive marketing action plan.
  • Help drive the internal alignment process with key stakeholders across the SDZWA organization.
  • Participate in marketing plan development of new products, attractions, and events.
