About The Position

Join our team as an Integrated Manufacturing Systems Manager, driving the introduction of cutting-edge equipment and systems, enhancing processes, and leading cost-reduction initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of manufacturing for Corning Optical Connectivity Solutions (OCS).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in factory automation (SCADA, Controls, and/or Automation).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 50% (including the United States, Mexico, Poland, and China).
  • Proficiency in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience formulating SCADA and IMS strategies for large-scale manufacturing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Inductive Automation Ignition.
  • Understanding of PI Data Historian configuration (Asset Framework, Event Frames).
  • Familiarity with Omron, Siemens, and Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL databases.
  • Solid project management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead OCS's Integrated Manufacturing Systems (IMS) strategy, including road mapping, skills development, and lifecycle management.
  • Supervise and support employees managing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop and implement strategies advancing Automation and Digital Transformation objectives.
  • Engage manufacturing sites to capture and document the Voice of the Customer.
  • Establish and maintain SCADA system standards globally.
  • Interface automated manufacturing equipment with plant Information Systems (MES).
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure SCADA systems' operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with automation vendors to define and document equipment interface specifications.
  • Effectively lead teams (direct and indirect), operating in a self-directed manner.
