About The Position

SAIC's Horizon program is seeking our latest Integrated Logistics Support Specialist to support a U.S. Space Force team delivering warfighter capability via the Space Systems Command's Space Combat Power portfolios to work in our El Segundo, CA office. You will be part of the team developing and delivering cyber capabilities to Space Force cyber operators and assist in developing, planning and implementing Integrated Logistics Support throughout the lifecycle of assigned system / equipment from concept through fielding and transition to operations with Space Force Guardians. The Horizon program is supporting Government weapon systems program offices with subject matter experts that have a background with the Department of Defense major capability acquisition process. Horizon team members provide systems acquisitions and program management support on various capability development programs that are intended to protect and defend the Nation's most valuable space assets. Our team is at the forefront of the advising and assisting the Government throughout the full lifecycle of systems acquisition processes that enable in most instances, rapid fielding to meet warfighter needs. Fun stuff you will do: Prepare written correspondence and verbally report recommended improvements to product support and maintenance concepts and requirements Analyze, establish and monitor supply support requirements to identify deficiencies and resolve critical issues Coordinate with Logistics Element Managers (LEMs) to ensure integrated logistics support (ILS) products are technically accurate Formulate provisioning plans, schedules and supply support management plans for new programs, systems, and equipment Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) and technical exchange meetings Support Program Manager development and delivery of Product Support Strategy (PSS) documentations, including sustainment metrics (Key Performance Parameters/Key System Attributes), risks, funding, and Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements Assist Program Manager and team to draft, deliver, and maintain ILS products, including coordinating products and taskings, and preparing contracting documents Support management and execution of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Technical Directives (TDs) and modifications associated with Space Force Configuration Management processes Participate in system engineering and technical review process. Act as a logistics representative through all design phases including associated reviews, Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Change Implementation Boards (CIBs) Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties Prepare periodic status reports, coordinate and execute periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and develop plans, schedules, and executive program briefings Help coordinate physical distribution, order fulfillment, and inventory management and control Use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting logistics information Receive incoming materials or prepare materials for shipment, pack/unpack applicable equipment and systems Identify, research and resolve delivery issues Develop and recommend stock inventory levels and locations to support customer requirements Create knowledge base articles to document procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelors and 14 years or more of related experience
  • Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Vetting program (if applicable)
  • Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and, or other compartments; and consent to a polygraph examination
  • ILS analysis experience (Department of Defense project support preferred)
  • Extensive experience with DoD Directive 5000.01; DoD Instructions 4000.25 & 5000.91; Product Support Strategies (PSS) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP)
  • Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Vetting program (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Department of Defense Budget and schedule management, and contract oversight
  • Experience with record keeping software (eg: MS Excel)
  • Excellent written and speaking skills
  • Experience preparing presentations and presenting information to senior stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and the ability to stay organized
  • Experience with FedEx or other transportation / delivery services and platforms

Responsibilities
