About The Position

Corteva Agriscience is seeking Crop Health R&D (CHRD) Field Sciences Interns to participate in a 3-6-month internship! Corteva sponsors a variety of internships in agricultural research across many field research locations in California. These research locations conduct crop protection/health product characterization activities. As a CHRD Field Sciences Intern at one of our research locations, you will have the opportunity to obtain diverse experiences across crop protection/health product development. Position duration varies depending on location but typically lasts throughout the summer for three to six months. Possible locations include: Woodland, CA and other California locations.

Requirements

• Current sophomores at an accredited university or higher.
• Educational focus in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Genetics, Biology, Horticulture, Entomology, Weed Science, or a related agricultural field highly desired.
• Agricultural background beneficial.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Must be enrolled for the upcoming semester/quarter at an accredited university at the time of internship.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass drug and criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in one or more of the following research areas: field plot management, product characterization, phenotyping tasks associated with crop protection/trait product development, and/or digital ag projects.
• Assist Field Scientists located at either one of our dedicated research centers or from a home-office environment in the assigned geographic region.
• Gain excellent experience that can be applied to full-time positions in the industry, or in preparation for additional graduate level training in the plant sciences.
