Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Mosaic Center team in the role of Integrated Career Coach. This position is a full-time, hybrid role (3 days on site and 2 days from home) located at 1776 N Meridian Street in Indianapolis, IN. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires 5 or more years of relevant partnership and project or program management experience (organizational development, social services, human resources).
  • Requires experience working in a variety of settings, has a growth mindset, is self-motivated, works well within a team, and demonstrates a passion for professional development and supporting others in accomplishing their goals.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manage admin functions related to facilitating occupational pieces of training.
  • Requires demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Requires demonstrated financial literacy awareness and knowledge.
  • Requires demonstrated awareness of and ability to connect participants with community resources.
  • Requires the ability to work independently and remotely as needed.
  • Requires familiarity with the communities being served with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of experience in coaching, mentoring, career or workforce development, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the economic mobility of youth and adults in Central Indiana.
  • Serves as a critical member of each participant's support system and focuses on one-on-one and small group interactions with participants to support their work, life, and learning goals.
  • Guides career choice, employment, training and further education opportunities.
  • Engages with a variety of partners and stakeholders to foster connections among participants and a variety of healthcare career pathways and support services.
  • Engages in outreach and recruitment of participants.
  • Assesses participant interest areas, strengths, work history, educational attainment, skills, abilities, and competencies; supports participants in finding an employment and career pathway match.
  • Completes an individualized overview of available career pathways and works with participants to create an employment plan for short- and long-term goals.
  • Conducts regular ongoing individual coaching sessions with participants to support goal achievement, job placement, education, job retention, and/or job readiness and removes barriers.
  • Monitors participant progress throughout the program cycle, beginning with recruitment or referral and continuing through retention and advancement efforts.
  • Maintains participant records detailing service needs and activities/arrangements for their fulfillment, using data-management procedures established by program management and the funding sources.
  • Maintains knowledge about programs offered through IU Health Mosaic, being able to perform administrative functions, and engage community partners, and other community resources to connect individuals as needed.
  • Maintains an understanding of IU Health and healthcare-specific skill, job, and certification requirements; develops a process with the Mosaic Center team for participants to acquire new skills and access job opportunities.
  • Advocates for hard-to-employ participants.
  • Facilitates and leads group training, financial coaching, and development sessions.
  • Participates in Mosaic Center team building, learning journeys, professional development, and team planning activities.
