About The Position

Park Nicollet Clinic is seeking a Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health Consultant to join its Behavioral Health team. This position involves splitting time between the Park Nicollet Maple Grove mental health clinic and the Park Nicollet Plymouth primary care clinic. The role is part of an innovative program focused on providing brief/solution-focused therapy when mental health needs are identified, as well as preventative psychoeducation and support to children, adolescents, and their families, in collaboration with pediatric and family medicine colleagues. The consultant will play a crucial role in addressing the mental health crisis for children and adolescents by intervening early and providing expertise and care coordination for more advanced or acute concerns. This role also involves being part of the larger Park Nicollet Behavioral Health Department, a multidisciplinary team offering outpatient mental health services. The ideal candidate will be a mental health professional with an interest in integrated care and skills in brief, solution-focused, short-term treatment, supporting Park Nicollet and HealthPartners primary care clinics.

Requirements

  • Have experience assessing, diagnosing and treating children and adolescents (0-18 years old)
  • Have training, experience and interest in the provision of evidence-based, solution-focused care to children, adolescents and families
  • Be independently licensed, or license eligible, in MN at the Masters or Doctoral Level (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, LP, or equivalent)
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a strong commitment to ethical practices
  • Have professional relationship building skills which are essential in facilitating partnerships with behavioral health and primary care colleagues to provide patients with high-quality, comprehensive care

Nice To Haves

  • Five years experience post-license and experience working in a medical setting is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide brief/solution focused therapy when a mental health need is identified
  • Provide preventative psychoeducation and support to children, adolescents and their families in partnership with pediatric and family medicine colleagues
