About The Position

With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. We are currently seeking a PRN Admissions Mental Health Technician to join our team. The PRN Admissions Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Direct of Admissions. The Admissions Mental Health Technician is responsible for the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and activities of daily living.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
Knowledge of psychiatric group processes. therapeutic relationship processes, age-specific growth and development, behavioral management, crisis management with agressive behaviors

Responsibilities

Assist with admissions, dischare and transfer procedure
Orient new patients to Fairmount Behavioral Healh
Intervene with patients during critical incidents, such as escalation, elopement, and suicidal behavior
Actively engage with patient population
Observe patient behavior and document observations according to hospital policies
