Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy)
  • Current Kansas BSRB licensure as one of the following: o Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Master Level Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist o Licensed Master Social Worker (clinical track) or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker o Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with Mental Health Training track (or equivalent experience) o Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurability requirements (if using Center vehicle)
  • Ability to pass all required background checks and pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments for new patients, identifying psychological, social, and physical needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for scheduled and unscheduled appointments, including assessing risk, de-escalation, and making appropriate referrals.
  • Offer guidance and resources about available services, including mental health, substance use, and community support programs.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation in compliance with Center policies, ensuring timely completion of charts, reports, and referrals.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and clinical supervision, actively seeking and applying feedback to enhance therapeutic skills and patient care.
  • Collaborate with other Center programs and departments to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
  • Support patients in accessing community resources, making referrals, and following up on progress as needed.
