About The Position

St. Anne's Family Services is seeking a Child & Family Specialist - STRTP to join our Short-term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) program. Our STRTP is a specialized, trauma-informed residential facility that provides intensive care and therapeutic services to girls. The program focuses on addressing the emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs of clients who have experienced complex trauma. We serve girls ages 13 to 18, referred from foster care, DCFS, juvenile justice systems, or other facilities. Many of our clients are either pregnant or parenting, and we offer targeted support to help them navigate these challenges.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required
  • Registration with the CA BBS preferred
  • 1+ year experience providing in-home services, work with underserved communities, work with high-risk children, adolescents, and their families preferred
  • Wraparound Approach Services Program experience preferred
  • Valid California Class C Driver's License required
  • Valid automobile insurance required
  • Physical ability to operate a motor vehicle required
  • Physical ability to perform Pro-ACT and administer First Aid/CPR required
  • Strong computer skills
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual rehabilitation, behavior modification, case management, and teaching and demonstration of activities
  • Oversee clients from program admission in collaboration with the parents
  • Develop and individualize service plans
  • Assess needs and services that will assist in the delivery of service and advocacy
  • Conduct visits to homes, schools, and other service providers
  • Manage community and family crises involving children and parents
  • Evaluate progress of clients and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive matrices, ensuring strategies, interventions, and services are family-centered, flexible, and community-based
  • Provide 24-hour crisis intervention, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed
  • Document client services in accordance with DMH and DCFS standards
  • Maintain weekly service provision requirements
  • Participate in administrative and clinical supervisions and meetings
