This role ensures a seamless and supportive intake and assessment process for children and families, helping to connect them with the right level of care.

Work Environment & Expectations
Fast-paced, high-energy environment
Direct work with children who may display physical aggression
Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and loud noise (crying/screaming)
Requires ability to run, move quickly, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Intake Specialist to coordinate and monitor referrals and admissions
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine diagnoses and level of care
Complete all required documentation (consents, custody/guardianship verification, pre-authorizations)
Build and maintain positive relationships with families, referral sources, and community partners
Communicate effectively with parents, clients, peers, and supervisors to ensure smooth admissions
Travel between office locations and occasionally to referral sites (e.g., inpatient psychiatric units)
Work with program staff to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant intake processes
Provide clinical and case management services related to admission proceedings
Support team coverage as needed, including maintaining a small caseload or assisting colleagues
