About The Position

HealthRIGHT 360, a nonprofit organization and a family of programs, is committed to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to tackle systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity for all. We offer a wide range of services, including mental health care, residential and outpatient substance use treatment, and primary health services. Additionally, we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health, we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health, fostering resilience, and facilitating recovery. The Intake Supervisor II supervises staff to ensure provision of quality client care and effective team performance to meet agency goals in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360’s philosophy, goals, policies, mission and vision. The Intake Supervisor II will oversee the application process, review eligibility requirements, conduct assessments, and ensure a smooth transition into the program’s services.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field from an accredited graduate school.
  • Valid registration or licensure from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an AMFT, APCC, ASW, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and access to registered and insured transportation.
  • At least three years’ management or supervision experience with clinical staff in comparable agencies with similar clients.
  • Intake or admission experience.
  • Experience with efficient and effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, select, hire, and terminate clinical staff employees in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Ensure that all direct reports follow HealthRIGHT 360’s policies, procedures, position expectations, performance goals, and contractual requirements.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, support, and conduct formal performance evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Identify direct reports’ strengths and weaknesses and strive to develop each team member to their fullest potential.
  • Deliver and arrange training and resources to ensure that direct reports are successful in their roles.
  • Ensure proper coverage of the program by creating work schedules and approving time away from work.
  • Deliver all communications necessary to all team members to remain current with HealthRIGHT 360’s policies and procedures and to inform them on quality-of-care concerns.
  • Lead weekly staff meetings to discuss program updates, issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as the main point of contact for applicants, answering questions, providing information, providing referrals, and offering support throughout the admissions process.
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine the suitability of applicants for the program or services offered.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all applicants, ensuring that all relevant documentation is properly stored and accessible.
  • Provide individual and group services.
  • Work with the clients to develop client-centered treatment plans.
  • Monitor treatment progress and update the treatment plan as needed.
  • Provide thoughtful discharge planning to ensure the client’s safe transitions.
  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention as needed.
  • Perform all other Intake Coordinator duties to ensure smooth operations within the program.
  • Provide administrative oversight of the intake department.
  • Ensure that clinical staff provide evidence-based, strength-based, trauma-informed, client-centered approach, and culturally competent services in an ethical and legal manner, within scope of practice, and in accordance with program requirements, HealthRIGHT 360’s policies and procedures, and all other regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain treatment plans.
  • Ensure that staff submit documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with program requirements and HealthRIGHT 360’s policies and procedures to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements.
  • Review clinical documentation, make revisions as needed, and provide co-signature as applicable.
  • Identify barriers within the department and communicate with the supervisor.
  • Facilitate and assist with client case conferences as applicable.
  • Ensure that the team communicates and collaborates with all members of the behavioral health team and other personnel to ensure service continuity.
  • Ensure that the team is maintaining productivity and contract utilization.
  • Maintain and monitor program presence in the community through site visits to community partners and participation in community events.
  • Ensure outreach strategies and materials are effective by working collaboratively with the supervisor.
  • Ensure that at least 95% of utilization targets are met.
  • Develop and maintain good relations with contractors and other collaborators to ensure program continuation.
  • Ensure compliance with programmatic and project contractual requirements.
  • Provide back-up coverage for other supervisors and managers as needed and as assigned to ensure that program requirements are met.
  • Facilitate meetings and development opportunities for staff.
  • Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
  • Read and respond to emails as appropriate.
  • And perform other duties as assigned.
