About The Position

Title : Intake Specialist Unit: Workers’ Compensation and Insurance Fraud Salary Range : $50,000 - $70,000 Location : Oklahoma City, OK Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Using computer and writing skills to produce reports, memoranda, letters, and analytical products · Establishing and maintaining investigative files for the WCIFU Unit · Supporting WCIFU by querying commercial databases provided by the WCIFU Unit. Establishing, maintaining and retrieving entries on analytical programs · Answering the main telephone system for the WCIFU Unit · Preparing, copying, sorting, stapling and mailing documents · Having knowledge of investigative policies, operations, and procedures related to criminal investigations · Having knowledge of the operations of law enforcement/commercial databases and other available sources of investigative information, knowledge of the principles of computer technology in the development of investigative databases and database management · Communicating technical, investigative and legal information both orally and in writing to a variety of individuals for varying purposes · Gathering background information on claimants using the local law enforcement criminal records system, public records databases, and Federal law enforcement databases · Preparing background reports for the WCIFU Team Leader and all other staff of the WCIFU Unit · Assisting investigators in the field as needed; running record checks, criminal history checks, vehicle checks, making phone calls, verifying addresses and phone numbers, etc. · Reviewing and analyzing incoming correspondence, publications, and directives · Researching and preparing responses to routine inquiries of a procedural or factual nature · Maintaining property management and inventory data · Screening calls and visitors, answering questions and completing most routine business, including that involving established administrative policy · Maintaining administrative and investigative files and records, and disposing of files in accordance with records retention instructions · Preparing final reports and all exhibits when cases are completed · Filing a copy of the original report in the case jacket and preparing a copy of the case file exhibits to be mailed to the referring agency · Preparing copies of reports and exhibits for prosecution · Recognizing the sensitive nature of investigative files and maintaining appropriate level of confidentiality regarding all documents and records related to such files · Transcribing tapes, memos, letters, etc. · Serving as a liaison with participating counterparts, as well as with other Federal and State agencies, Insurance Companies and NICB from the private sector, for the purpose of planning and coordinating the work of the WCIFU Unit, gathering and exchanging information, resolving administrative problems, and communicating the objectives, priorities and standards of the WCIFU Unit · Assisting in tracking fiscal year reserve figures, restitution ordered, restitution collected etc. · Preparing monthly statistical information · Performing other duties as assigned by the WCIFU Agent in Charge

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
  • Proficient in Word, Adobe, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • All applicants must agree in writing to complete, and satisfactorily pass, a background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • At least an associate’s degree
  • At least four years of investigative/analytical experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with complex investigative matters
