As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. More information about Southridge can be found online at: https://southridgebh.com/ Position Description: The Intake RN, under the supervision of the Intake Director, provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment to assist the physician in identification of appropriate level of care for potential patients. The Intake RN is the initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The Intake RN works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data and verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
  • Registered Nurse RN license issued by the State of Michigan required.

Responsibilities
