About The Position

The Intake & Outreach Therapist is responsible for providing bilingual (English/Spanish) clinical services to families experiencing family violence and who are at risk for child abuse and neglect. Services include crisis intervention, clinical services, support groups, translation, and connecting families with necessary community resources and linkages to prevent future occurrences of family violence.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
Two years related experience required including outreach and community engagement
Bilingual English/Spanish required
Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record required
Successful completion of a background check through Clearinghouse (learn more)

Responsibilities

Respond to new program referrals within required timelines, assess family needs, and initiate appropriate services, including SafetyNet enrollment and community referrals
Complete intakes, safety planning, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment plans to support individuals and families impacted by domestic violence
Provide individual, family, and group therapy, including crisis intervention, victim support groups, and intensive case management
Serve as a bilingual (Spanish/English) provider, offering interpretation, translation, and culturally responsive services for Spanish-speaking families
Advocate for clients within the court system, including support with restraining orders and coordination with legal and community partners
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and client data within the electronic health record in compliance with program and regulatory standards
Participate in community outreach, education, and partnership-building efforts to increase awareness of the SafetyNet program
Engage in continuous quality improvement, staff meetings, training, and professional development to support program excellence and compliance
