About The Position

We are North Shore Medical Center Per Diem Flex Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician-directed care and RN supervision. We service a multitude of patients and their families across our vast network, while remaining committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the cultivation of strong partnerships within our communities. Requirements

• Ability to Communicate in English
• BLS required
• Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred Florida RN License
• Prefer 1 year of Behavioral Health RN
• Prefer 1 year of Supervisory RN responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Conducts Medical screens for all patients who are present for intake.
• Review of labs and medical histories of patients in medical facilities to determine medical appropriateness for admission
• Complete risk assessment for AWOL, danger to others, sexual acting out behavior, and vulnerability.
• Assess patients for self-harm/suicide risk and determine the level of care.
• Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care.
• Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Conducts age appropriate psycho-educational groups.
• Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and reacts promptly.
• Communicates patient care observations and safety concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team.
