About The Position

Intake Nurse, Home Infusion Pharmacy Department: 38439 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Pharmacy: Home Infusion Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday-Friday (8 am-5 pm). No weekends or holidays. Pay Range $34.90 - $52.35 Position Highlights: Intake Nurse, RN Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, No weekends or holidays. Winston Salem Education/Experience: Graduation with a degree from an accredited School of Nursing with three years' clinical experience required. QI/UR experience preferred. Home Infusion experience preferred.

Requirements

  • Graduation with a degree from an accredited School of Nursing with three years' clinical experience required.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the applicable state Board of Nursing required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient PC computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and function in high-stress situations.

Nice To Haves

  • QI/UR experience preferred.
  • Home Infusion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
  • Performs all functions to facilitate a patient referral.
  • Coordinates with clinical disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes for patients.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of third-party payer contractual requirements related to infusion therapy.
  • Performs case management functions related to authorizations and billing follow-up.
  • Participates in planning by establishing personal goals to support quality improvement efforts and contributes to the achievement of departmental objectives.
  • Provides age/developmentally appropriate patient care in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
