About The Position

The Counselor - Intake position at Abraxas in Chicago, IL, is pivotal in providing initial assessments and support to individuals seeking mental health and substance use services. This role involves conducting comprehensive intake interviews to gather relevant information about clients' backgrounds, needs, and goals. The counselor will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored treatment plans that address the unique challenges faced by each client. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification in counseling or a related discipline.
  • Experience in conducting assessments and working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities
