About The Position

Roxbury Treatment Center is currently hiring several Intake Counselors (Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem) to work the day shift in our admissions department. Schedule flexibility is offered. $2,500 Sign-On Bonus Offered for Full-Time Hires!! The Intake Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers. The Intake Counselor works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted. Also initiates the referral and admission process by determining appropriate level of care needs in conjunction with the physician/provider. The Intake Counselor is also responsible for initiating and maintaining communication with referral sources.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related Human Services field, or Registered Nurse.
• 2-3 years of experience in substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.
• Active nursing license in the State of Pennsylvania is required if the candidate is a nurse.

Responsibilities
