About the position

The Intake Coordinator at ReHealth Staffing LLC plays a crucial role in providing exceptional patient-centric experiences in an outpatient physical therapy clinic. This position is ideal for motivated, team-oriented individuals who are passionate about individualized care and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for managing insurance pre-authorizations, scheduling patient appointments, and assisting patients with care coordination and benefits, all while delivering superior customer service under the supervision of clinic owners and the Human Resources department.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients to the clinic.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and PCP referrals as needed.
• Collects and processes co-pays, tracking/documentation of patient payments.
• Schedules patients for appointments.
• Answers and responds to email inquiries.
• Performs administrative and clerical duties such as answering phones, inputting information into the system, filing, copying, faxing, and scanning.
• Complies with the regulations and policies of the clinic.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, HIPAA, and other regulatory policies.
• Strong telephone protocol and professional etiquette.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient computer skills with Windows-based software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly and act professionally.
• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
• Previous healthcare administrative support experience desired.
• Experience working in a physical therapy company preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a physical therapy/healthcare environment is a plus.
