About The Position

Join our team at Cedar Hills as an Intake Coordinator - Therapist and learn how you can make a lasting difference in your community! Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for an Intake Coordinator - Therapist. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for coordination of admission, assessment and referral of incoming patients including the coordination of Provider assessments and initiation of the admission process. The Intake Coordinator provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process, under the direction of the Intake Director. Our programs include: Inpatient: Crisis Stabilization, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, The Military Program, Co-Occurring Disorders, The Women’s Program.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field required.
• 1-3 years experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• State certification in social work or clinical related mental health field required (LPC-Associate, LPC, LMSW, Temporary CSWA license or LCSW license).
• CPR certification, Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
