About The Position

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility will offer specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in social services, community mental/behavioral health, mental-health setting, inpatient setting, and performing administrative duties, crisis interventions, and customer service.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating aspects of the intake/assessment process and providing excellent direct patient care.
• Efficiently and effectively handling inquiry calls.
• Processing referrals for possible admission.
• Maintaining communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff.
• Performing insurance verification/precertification.
• Managing the patient registration process.
• Conducting patient observations.
• Scheduling evaluations and admissions processing.
• Monitoring the bed board.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the intake leadership team.
