About The Position

Our Access Center is one of the first points of contact at DLC to provide truly transformative services. This Clinician is a fundamental part of securing a strong care plan for Clients, must be excited by a collaboratively adaptive environment, and must be comfortable with a client walk-in model.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Social work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or related field = Required
  • Clear/Active FL Clinical License (LCSW, LMHC or LMFT) = Required
  • Two year's post Master's Degree experience in mental health services = Required
  • Experience working with complete age population spectrum = Required
  • Knowledge of DSM 5 = Required
  • Skilled at concurrent documentation = Required
  • Knowledge of overall objectives, treatment concepts and regulations pertaining to the care and treatment of the mentally ill and those with substance use disorders = Required
  • Ability to relate to and communicate with a diverse group of Clients, colleagues, agencies and community members = Required
  • Exceptional skills in organization (time and information), task prioritization and independent problem solving = Required
  • Dedication to the organization's mission, standards, procedures and protocol = Required
  • Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred
  • Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations = Required
  • Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check = Required

  • Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience = Strongly Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrating advanced skills in reviewing, conducting and documenting clinical assessments for Adults, Children and Adolescents using most current DSM diagnostic criteria for mental and Substance use disorders.
  • Developing, reviewing and evaluating treatment plans based on client age, individual needs, condition, client/family input and diagnosis without supervision.
  • Providing individual, group or family therapy as need arises.
  • Providing crisis support and safety planning.
  • Providing clinical leadership to unlicensed clinical staff.
  • Ability to competently use evidenced based risk assessment and suicide screening tools.
  • Performing Baker Act Involuntary initial process as appropriate.
  • Providing assessments and diagnosis to Clients seeking to link with DLC services.
  • Providing treatment planning for Clients discharged from Crisis Unit.
  • Effectively managing various clinical and administrative responsibilities within an outpatient/walk-in setting.
  • Collaborating with internal and external providers to meet Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder needs in the community.
  • Ensuring timely services are provided, closing charts, reporting to the state and making referrals to appropriate levels of care within the agency as well as external resources.
  • Offering proactive and thoughtful recommendations for process and quality improvement.
  • Setting an example in providing Client-conscious service to the Collier County community.
  • Embodying the DLC Charter by displaying integrity, exceptional compassion, collaborative partnership, creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Advocating for Clients to focus on life-changing wellness through a strong and tested treatment model.
  • Utilizing a modern and user-friendly EMR system to the fullest of its potential in remaining organized and compliant.
