Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required. Applicable college degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Minimum 2 years experience in healthcare sales and/or healthcare customer service, veterans services, healthcare administration, benefits coordination or document management preferred. Comparable experience/degree may be considered
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Passion for helping Veterans and their families
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (in-office and remote). Minimum 40% in office.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to drive to or arrange for transportation for all in-office days, training, and meetings as scheduled by Management.

  • Experience working with elderly clients and complex documentation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inbound and Outbound Calls: Handle incoming calls from potential clients seeking information about our home care and related services. Outbound calls will involve prospecting for new leads, qualifying potential clients, and communicating with referral and care partner organizations.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits of our services and addressing their needs.
  • Client Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Sales Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets through effective prospecting, qualifying, and closing techniques.
  • Client Communication & Support
  • Serve as primary point of contact for veterans and surviving spouses throughout the application process
  • Conduct client interviews via phone, email, and text to gather necessary information
  • Guide clients through document requirements using clear, compassionate communication
  • Provide regular status updates and maintain ongoing client relationships
  • Address client questions and concerns promptly and professionally
  • Document Management & Verification
  • Audit and organize client files to ensure completeness and accuracy against VA eligibility requirements
  • Review all submitted documents including DD-214 requests, medical forms (21-2680), bank statements, asset statements, marriage certificates, and medical expense receipts
  • Verify authenticity and validity of military service records, financial documentation, and legal documents
  • Cross-reference client information across multiple document types to identify discrepancies
  • Maintain detailed tracking of document status and client progress
  • Application Preparation & Quality Assurance
  • Compile comprehensive application packages for VA Pension with Aid & Attendance benefits
  • Ensure all required forms are properly completed and signed
  • Coordinate with medical providers to obtain necessary medical assessments
  • Conduct thorough pre-submission reviews to minimize application delays or rejections
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VA eligibility requirements and process changes
  • Other duties as assigned
