Intake Assessor Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive and culturally responsive intake assessments for children experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges and their families with a strengths-based lens. Complete appropriate documentation including intake assessment, initial psychosocial assessments and screening tools, problems lists, rule out/differential diagnosis and initial treatment plans and document appropriately in accordance with licensing, accreditation and agency requirements. Provide required case management services and inter-agency collaboration. May provide crisis services to clients and families. Develop working relationships with potential referral services. Essential Job Requirements: Master's degree in Psychology, social work, counseling, or related field. Counselor with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH). Full or Associate licensure in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy is preferred. Minimum of two years experience in assessment and determining medical necessity for youth preferred. Depending on your experience your salary would be $58,600-$72,060 (with an increase for groups, language skills (especially Spanish!), and having an SUDP/T). The schedule is Monday-Friday. Each week, you'll work at least 4 days in person, and the other day can be in person or virtual. At least two of those days, will be until 7pm. The Intake Assessor will establish medical necessity and diagnosis for new incoming clients for outpatient services. Important skills include: ability to quickly establish rapport with new clients; assessment and differential diagnosis in a culturally appropriate manner; understanding of complex family dynamics and their impact on child behavior; attention to detail; and ability to keep deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
