About The Position

The International Center at UC Irvine is dedicated to enhancing the academic and personal experience of the international community. The role involves providing high-level support in the development and delivery of student immigration services, coordinating and reviewing incoming immigration service requests, and serving as Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for F-1 and J-1 visa categories. Responsibilities include advising international students and campus departments on policies and procedures, providing pre and post-arrival information to newly admitted international students, maintaining and updating SEVIS records for compliance, and applying professional student services concepts to address moderately complex issues.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques

  • Knowledge of student immigration and visa processes pertaining to international students and higher education

  • Writing, edition, and publication experience indicating a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities
