Insurance Verifier at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth: Schedule: 8:30-5:00pm Monday through Friday Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff. Update patient demographics/information in system. Verify insurance benefits, obtaining proper authorization from insurance carrier. Determine what funds to collect upon admission. Notify patients of monies due and document in billing system. Other duties as required or requested by chain of command. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years' previous experience hospital insurance verification required.
Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
Basic computer Knowledge-Word and Excel preferred

Responsibilities
