Insurance Verifier at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital - Arlington: · Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff. · Update patient demographics/information in system. · Verify insurance benefits, obtaining proper authorization from insurance carrier. · Determine what funds to collect upon admission. · Notify patients of monies due and document in billing system. · Other duties as required or requested by chain of command.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years' previous experience hospital insurance verification required.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
- Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer Knowledge-Word and Excel preferred
Nice To Haves
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
Responsibilities
- Interface with patients and families, physicians and staff.
