About The Position

This opportunity is full-time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule working 5:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wellington Regional Medical Center is located in Wellington, Florida. It is a 235-bed, acute care hospital, owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., a highly respected healthcare management organization. Requirements

• High School or GED Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year experience in acute care facility or related environment preferred, but not necessary.
• Willingness to be cross-trained in other areas (Admitting, Business Office, ER)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented and organizational skills required.
• Medical Terminology
• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Filing Skills
• Typing Skills
• Familiarity with HMO/PPO contracts beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for verification of patient demographic, medical and financial information while assisting patients in all related aspects of their account.
