About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical office settings and possess strong knowledge of insurance verification procedures, medical coding, and HIPAA regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive the correct insurance coverage and benefits, which directly impacts their healthcare experience. As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits, updating patient records with accurate insurance information, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations in handling patient data. You will collaborate closely with the medical billing team to resolve any insurance-related issues that may arise. Your expertise in utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes for insurance billing purposes will be essential in this role, as accuracy in coding is critical for proper reimbursement and patient care.
