About The Position

As part of the Azalea Insurance Verification team, you will ensure that new patients and established are verified accurately and in a timely manner for upcoming appointments, all while delivering excellent customer service. Other duties and qualities needed.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with insurance companies and patients
  • Maintain a professional relationship with physician teams
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and insurance verification
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy
  • Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Demonstrates professionalism in appearance/dress code
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills required
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in Healthcare preferred but not necessary
  • 1 year of insurance verification experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Verifying patient insurance details
  • Contacting insurance companies to confirm patient eligibility, coverage levels, co-pays, deductibles, and benefit limitations for scheduled procedures.
  • Benefit verification updates
  • Regularly checking for changes in patient insurance plans and updating records accordingly.
