About The Position

Become an Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist with Agape Care Group. We are looking for a highly skilled Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist to join our team with a strong work ethic who is very detail-oriented, able to multi-task, communicate effectively, and be a dependable team player. As an Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist at Agape Care, you'll process eligibility workflow, submit requests for authorizations, and follow up on authorization denials. The ideal candidate would have previous insurance verification and authorization experience with knowledge of the various payor and eligibility websites. Requirements

• A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care.
• Education: Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 years of insurance verification/authorization in an appropriate clinical care setting or hospice environment preferred.
• HCHB experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient's insurance coverage and obtain authorization for requested services.
• Ensure that claims will be processed correctly.
• Handle insurance-related inquiries.
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and health care providers to obtain necessary information and resolve issues related to insurance coverage.
• Function as a billing specialist and follow uniform billing procedures and practices according to Medicare, Medicaid, 3rd party payers, and private pay in accordance with the HIM-11 guidelines.
