As an Insurance Specialist with Miller's Health Systems, you are primarily responsible for handling the prior authorization, and certification approvals needed for insurance billing. You use your knowledge of accounting practices and your attention for details to help achieve department goals. Some of your duties will include: · Obtaining prior authorizations, certifications, and re-certifications from insurance companies · Obtaining medical records as needed to get claims to process · Follow up on insurance claims and correct as necessary · Perform other tasks, not to interfere with the above responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor
